A fun, busy week

17 weeks (& getting rounder)

Where to start...last Wednesday, my high school friend Jennifer Fisher drove down to San Antonio for the day with her 13 month old, Emma. After Emma became acquainted with our dachshund (Autumn loved Emma), I took them to the San Antonio zoo. I think Jennifer and I enjoyed it more than Emma, but I guess that is to be expected. Emma did feed the fish with her mom...once she understood that the food was not for her.

On Friday afternoon, Matt's parents arrived for a visit. Ms. Nora made us valances for our bedroom, which turned out great. Over the weekend, we went garage-sale shopping and found some good deals on baby stuff. We also took them to Daylight Donuts for breakfast so they could remember the good ol' days (or why they retired from the business). Either way, the donuts were delicious! Of course, Mr. Carl's donuts were better.

Ms. Nora and I went antique shopping on Sunday at Comfort (that is the name of the town...just down the road from Welfare) and Fredericksburg. We did not find what we were looking for, but we had fun. Yesterday, we met Sharon, Michael, and Katie at San Marcos for lunch. The outlets are in San Marcos so of course, I had to make a stop at the maternity store. I found some cute outfits and a pair of much-needed jean capris. I was getting tired of buttons making imprints on my stomach!

Ms. Nora and Mr. Carl left this morning. Matt and I enjoyed spending time with them, and we look forward to seeing them again in October! Thanks for making the long trip to see us!
