It's a BOY!

19 weeks

Yes, that is right...Matt and I are carrying on the Stevens family tradition by having our first child be a boy! We are very excited! I have been thinking this whole time that the baby was a girl, but he proved me wrong today. He is definitely a boy and an active one at that! We had the ultrasound this morning, and the tech was having a difficult time getting some measurements because our son (wow, first time I have to referred to him as that) would not stop moving around. It may have had something to do with the cinnamon roll I had eaten an hour and a half before. :) Either way, his measurements were good, and he already weighs 10 0z, which is a little bigger than we expected. We have not decided on a name yet, but we have a couple that we really like. To celebrate, we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch (our favorite place), and then we started registering at Target and Babies R Us. Can I just say that I have never seen so many different types of blankets, bottles, pacifiers?! Too many choices! Matt, of course, had to register for pretty much any baby accessory with a football on it. Fortunately, there were not any LSU colors or we would have been in trouble.

Matt having too much fun with the gun

Matt is glad to be done with his vascular surgery rotation. This month, he is doing an anesthesia month which is very laid back. We are both thankful for some extra time together, and we are looking forward to having some of our good friends (Ben, Nicole, & Ava Kilman) come visit us in a few weeks. I am actually travelling to Jackson on Wednesday to go to the Canton Flea Market with friends and to meet some babies that were born after we left. I can't wait! Happy October to everyone!
