Yesterday morning, Matt and I took Eli to the Pearl Brewery Farmer's Market that is held every Saturday morning. It is quite a cool location with an old brewery, some shops, and the vendors set up their tents in the parking lot. Also, it is located on a newer part of the River walk that is great for walking/running because there are not any businesses...just beautiful scenery. We started off with a walk along the river, and Eli loved pointing at the "wa wa" (1 of his favorite words these days). As we walked, we saw ducks, fish in the water, and decorative fish hanging down from a bridge that we went under. Eli said "pish" (he has learned that word from watching a Bible story DVD recently). We came across some stops for the Rio Taxi (a boat that travels down the river), and we saw the San Antonio Museum of Art along the way.

Then, we walked back to the Farmer's Market and browsed the vendors. We bought some slightly sourdough bread from 1, and we enjoyed it later for lunch. Next, we walked over to an old train engine that is also located there. Eli had fun climbing on it with Matt, and he liked throwing leaves off of it. Every once in a while, we got him to say "choo choo."

It was a lot of fun to spend the morning together as a family! It is easy to get up caught up with things you think you "need" to do and neglect the most important people of all..your family. I am so thankful to God for blessing me with Matt and Eli (and the rest of my precious family)!
